What Is Inside a Sachet?

Quick Answer

Fresh Scents® sachets are filled with vermiculite, a natural mineral, and perfume-grade fragrance oils made with essential oils. Everything is housed in a biodegradable paper envelope featuring original hand-painted artwork.

The Ingredients

There are two main components inside every Fresh Scents® sachet:

Vermiculite

Vermiculite is a naturally occurring mineral extracted from soil. It's porous, lightweight, and excellent at absorbing and slowly releasing fragrance—which is exactly why we use it. Think of it as the workhorse that holds and diffuses our scents over time.

Fragrance Oils

Our fragrance formulations are proprietary blends crafted by professional perfumers. Each scent is made with essential oils and designed to deliver perfume-grade quality—meaning you get a true, long-lasting fragrance, not a synthetic-smelling imitation.

The Envelope

The sachet envelope is made from special paper that allows fragrance to diffuse gradually while keeping the contents securely inside. It's biodegradable, so when your sachet has run its course, you can dispose of it without worry. And every envelope features original artwork hand-painted by Leigh Brown, our in-house South Carolina artist.

Safety & Standards

We adhere to strict safety standards set by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA), so you can feel confident using our products in your home. Fresh Scents® sachets are also phthalate-free, paraben-free, and not tested on animals.
